Picture Purrrfect

I couldn't help but take out my (not so good) phone camera and take a few snaps of Belle while she had her much needed beauty sleep. And to be honest, when she awoke to a camera in her face, she wasn't happy at all! Check them out below, leave a comment.

Out of these 8 photos which is your favourite? Don't forget to keep sending your favourite photos of your cat to pipa7x@gmail.com to be featured in a future blog post.

Coming Up....

So over the next 2 weeks or so I plan to do some more beauty reviews of current make up products I am using as well as showing you all my daily make up routine. And of course my Halloween make up and yes...I am dressing up as cat (OMG Shock!) but also for another fancy dress party I may be a zombie. Not a gory creepy zombie but a pretty zombie (If that's even possible!) So yeah stay tuned and keep checking my blog for updates and all that jazz. Oh I almost forget, there will be more kitty cat posts! And I am sure Belle will have her spotlight time too....she always does.
And did I mention my blog now has a Facebook like button? Please press like! It was so hard to add it to my blog, all that coding and Jaza or Java...whatever it's called. Would really appreciate it!

The Two Furry Visitors

One autumn day a few years ago, I looked out onto my garden to see these two wee felines. They were inseparable. The picture speaks the truth, the black and white one whom I named Domino due to his handsome colours, was a real whiner while the ginger and white one just set silently. I called him O'Malley (Yes as in Thomas O'Malley) I had known O'Malley since he was a kitten as his mother (Rihanna) and fellow siblings (Scratch and Amber) where strays that lived close to my home. Rihanna stayed in the neighboured hood for a long time after her kittens had left her but unfortunately I have not seen any of the family in years including O'Malley.

Having known O'Malley for quite sometime I had come to observe that he was a very shy cat and weary of humans (Though I am pretty sure he had claimed my garden as his territory) I only got to pet him a few times while I was feeding him. He even got the courage to explore my house one day! (Shhh don't tell my parents)
However since I got my cat Belle who obviously patrols my garden now and scares every feline out of it, I have not seen O'Malley since. I hope he is okay and has found a loving home.

Domino on the other hand was very outgoing and comfortable a round humans. He let me pet him and he even set on my knee. On that day he brought out the best in O'Malley. As you can see from the first photo, O'Malley is very close to me and doesn't seem to be frightened. He followed Dominoes' every move and he seemed so much more relaxed. Unfortunately that was the only time I met Domino. I hope he is okay as well.

Have any of you got a stray cat story to tell?

Cats and their Personalities: Things I notice about my Cat.

Like people I think cats have their own little habits. I've had my wee Belle for over 4 years and over that time I have come to notice all the little quirky aspects of her personality that distinguish her from one cat to the next. Who said cats are lazy and boring? My cat does something entertaining everyday whether it be chasing something that's on the outside of the window, hiding under a cushion with her back end sticking out thinking I can't see her or just being a right nut case!

I've also come to learn what she likes and dislikes, what makes her happy and what makes her angry and the things that make her go extremely hyper that she runs uncontrollably around the house, clawing everything. Most of these times she is just looking for a chase. Does your cat like to play chasing?

Okay lets get to the point, Olives... yes olives. Those little green things we buy in the supermarket, well when my cat gets a whiff of those bad boys, her pupils enlarge and she starts rolling on her back as if she's high. She just rolls back and forth for ages, and one time she just randomly bit my mum for no reason. Now my cat is a biter but only if she's really angry or really playful.

Another thing, my cat knows when its bed time! Just before we are about to get up to turn of the lights and all leave the room (including her) the wee skitter runs and hides behind the seat so we can't get her. She runs from one seat to another and me and my family are running after her like headless chickens trying to catch her. Cats are smart and we owners know it! But the secret to getting her to come out is to sit back down and the wee pet comes out and curls up on my knee...then I strike!

Spot the cat

Belle knows what the sound of a tin opening sounds like whether it be peas or tuna she will come running. Then it's two paws up on the cupboard..'meow meow meow' Also in the kitchen when she is sitting on the chairs, she goes absolutely mental and starts attacking anything that moves, grabbing my clothes as I walk past not expecting a thing. She can be a wee ninja at times! And for some reason when my mum comes home from work, it also triggers her to go really hyper and attack our stairs. Makes my mum go crazy!

One more thing before I bore you all to death, I could go on forever with this. When I'm lying in bed and Belle manages to climb her way in, she does not sit still. She always has to be sitting right in my face! I don't particularly like waking up with a mouthful of cat fur thanks very much! So if I turn round she walks just over the top of me just to sit at my face.Weird right? Queen of the house she is!

These are just some of the things I notice about my cats personality. Do any of your cats do anything similar? Comment below your cats little habits. Thanks for reading.

Baby Face Belle

Since a lot of my posts will be about my kitty cat Belle I thought I'd share with you a picture of her when she was only 6 months old. This was taken a few days after we took her into our home.

But don't let her cute innocent face fool you! She was attacking my feet by clawing the quilt and pouncing on them even when I moved them slightly. On some occasions I'm afraid to move anything in fear I will feel 8 front claws stick into me (she only has 8, as she got two toes removed) She even gripped my big toe once with her paw...it was weird O.o

Anyway that's Belle and her cuteness, leave a comment, thanks (:

The many faces of a Cat

Yes cats do have facial expressions and with that you can tell exactly what they're thinking. All cat owners will agree. I'm sure you can picture your cats angry face right now...yes terrifying isn't it, that really pissed of face when they really want to be left alone, or maybe you would rather picture their playful face...large pupils while clawing their way around the bottom of the sofa. We've all experienced Ninja Cat. When our cats are playful they can jump unexpectedly from anywhere and give you a wee boxers pound on the head or go for your fingers as you carelessly dangle them over the edge of the table. Never the less if we understand what out cats facial expressions mean, may be we could predict their next move...
I've managed to capture some of these strange facial expressions with my cat Belle. Check them out

 'Playful and ready to pounce'

 'Alert'

'Pissed Off'

'Startled'

I'm not an expert on cats, this is just what I think. In my opinion these facial expressions may differ from cat to cat and we as owners may only be able tell what are own cats are thinking.

Comment your thoughts and if you can understand what your cat is thinking, Thanks

Cats and Their Playful Ways

I use the word Playful very lightly....
Does any of you cat owners notice how cats get bored so easily? They have one burst of energy then 5 seconds later they stop suddenly to lick their fur or they just collapse on the ground. Are we humans not entertaining enough? Sometimes I wonder if my cat is only with me because I have food or that expression on her face when I talk to her like she's a baby says 'Get me food or I will claw your face' or may be that's just me.
Sleeping Belle

Another funny thing I find with my cat is that is if I'm dangling a cat toy in her face, she either stares at my as if she doesn't care or she wants the end I'm holding and not actually the toy. She finds a stick or plastic bottle cap far more entertaining than a fluffy mouse toy to chew on. Weird right? The caps just end up under the seat anyway. Sometimes I think my cat is part dog. She chases a ball if I throw it, she pounces on it then frantically kicks it with her back feet or jumps 3 feet in the air and runs the opposite direction, ears back, shocked expression and her back legs at her face as if she's running side ways. Anyone else seen their furry feline do this? Anyway here are some photos of Belle when her playful mood arises. Enjoy!

Please leave a comment and share anything about your kitty cats, Thanks

Why do cats feel the need to get in or under things?

I'm sure there are some other cat owners out there that have asked themselves the same question. Have you ever stumbled upon your cat diving into a plastic bag on the floor, jumping into an open box or trying to climb under the sofa? I am all too familiar with this with my kitty cat Belle. I leave a bag on the floor for two seconds then I go to lift it and all I see are these two big eyes (and when I say big, other cat owners will know just how scary their cat looks with enlarged pupils...like they really want to hurt you) And on many occasions Belle has landed herself in my old school bag, ahh if only cats where on the school curriculum. Anyway I have managed to capture some of these moments. Check out the photos below.

Got some photos of you own? I'd love to see them. Comment your thoughts below.
